Another Chance to Peek Inside the Horrible Bag

For those of you who have just signed up for the Teenage Robot story, Tuck is being a prima donna as usual. But after me begging and pleading, he has promised to appear this coming Tuesday.

In the meantime, there’s another story of mine out there – The Horrible Bag of Terrible Things. I think that fans of my work will find it worth their time. It follows a pair of siblings as they enter another world populated by all manner of bizarre and menacing creatures. Their encounters are by turn spooky and humorous.

In the opening chapters, mischievous eleven-year-old Zenith Maelstrom brings a mysterious bag into his home and accidentally unleashes a repulsive hairball-spider creature. It lacks a head, but has nine spindly legs and tangled hair coated in black, viscous goo. Zenith briefly recaptures it by dropping the bag on top of the beast. But it escapes and skitters away inside the overturned bag just as Zenith’s protective and suspicious older sister, Apogee, comes to investigate. Zenith eventually evades Apogee’s watchful eye and retreats to his bedroom to regroup before resuming his search for the terrible thing. Read what happens next in Chapter 5, reprinted below in its entirety.

What the . . . Where did Apogee go? What will Zenith do?

These questions will be answered for the intrepid souls who dare to read further. I hope you will all take the plunge into the Horrible Bag.
