I hope everyone is enjoying Spooky Season so far. If not, I'm here to help you get into the Halloween spirit with a couple of treats.

First Treat - Spooky Middle Grade (a group of horror authors of which I am a member) is hosting a contest called 90-Second Scares! 

From October 13-31, the @spookymiddlegrade Instagram account will post spooky videos where various authors, including yours truly, will read from their scary books. In each video, authors will give you a creepy code word. If you survive all 19 days of 90-Second Scares, you can enter a giveaway for a chance to win a stack of autographed horror books from participating spooky MG authors.

1. Tune in to the @spookymiddlegrade Instagram or YouTube account at 7:00 P.M. ET / 4:00 P.M. PT from October 13-31.

2. Watch all 19 videos and collect all 19 creepy code words.

3. Submit all creepy code words at the entry link, which you can find posted in the description of the 90-Second Scares videos and in the @spookymiddlegrade bio. You have until 11:59 P.M. PT on Sunday, November 3, 2024 to enter. The winner will be announced on Monday, November 4.
